The period of performance will be October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000 with four (4) option years. The hours of operation during the school year are Monday through Saturday, 32 hours per week. The hours of operation during the summer vacation and Easter and Christmas holidays are Monday through Saturday, 48 hours per week. The Contractor shall provide self directed activities and individual, group and team sports, issue government provided equipment and operate a computer lab/homework center. The Contractor's Youth Services Director shall possess a four year degree in an accredited college or university with a major in one or more appropriate fields of education; or three years of experience demonstrating a knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and interest in motivation of individuals or groups, equivalent to that gained through education; or any equivalent combination of these, provided that each year of education has included nine semester hours appropriate to the general field of recreation. The Contractor's Computer Lab/Homework Center Technician must have 2 years of experience demonstrating a knowledge or principles, methods and techniques of teaching and computer technology. The Contractor shall ensure it'e employees are properly cleared and meet the requirements of the law regarding background checks per Section 231 Public Law 101-647, codified at 42 USC 13041(a).
