The USAFE Contracting Center in 67663 Kaiserslauttern, Germany is seeking qualified firms for the rental with option to purchase of a virtual environment technology simulator system. System Requirements: The system must be able to simulate Close Air Support (CAS) and the Forward Air Controlling (FAC) necessary to make CAS work. The system will be used for FAC training and must be a high resolution head-mounted display with visual simulation. The system must be able to monitor all actions and events in the virtual battlefield during the simulation exercise. The system must provide the FAC/Student with the opportunity to observe the training run from the FAC's and aircrew/aircraft point of view. The system must provide full control of the scenario's progress and pace in that a given FAC training run can be frozen and/or replayed.
