The work to be performed includes earthwork and construction of about 0.2 mile of unlined channel and 1.0 mile of township road/dike embankment; topsoil and seeding for approximately 10 acres; furnishing and installing 105 feet of precast reinforced concrete twin cell box culvert control structure at a single site (each cell is 5' x 7'); furnishing and installing 96 feet of precast reinforced concrete twin cell and single cell box culvert at a single site (each cell is 12' x 7'); placing 410 feet of continuously reinforced concrete roadway/spillway; furnishing and installing 115 feet of 18-inch and 96 feet of 24-inch corrugated metal pipe; removing and salvaging 3 corrugated metal culverts (6' diameter); furnishing and installing 1.2 miles of barbed wire fence and gravel surfacing for the top of the township road; furnishing and placing riprap and gravel bedding; and furnishing and installing miscellaneous aluminum grating, roadway/water depth signs, and treated wood posts. The estimated price range ofthe work is $500,001 to $1,000,000. The work is located approximately 20 miles north of Jamestown, North Dakota, in Stutsman County. Solicitation packages will be available approximately March 2, 1999. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 2:00 p.m., April 1, 1999, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Dakotas Area Office, 304 East Broadway, Bismarck, North Dakota. The contract must be completed by no later than November 1, 1999. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation; additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 for each copy. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Room 2031 Federal Building, Billings, Montana, or at the address shown above for the Dakotas Area Office.
