SERVICES: The General Services Administration, Mid-Atlantic Region,
Chesapeake Field Group requires all of the necessary labor,
supervision, materials and equipment (except as otherwise provided) to
establish and operate, in its own name, food service facilities in the
East Highrise Building at the Social Security Administration Complex,
6401 Security Boulevard, Woodlawn, MD 21235. Services require the
dispensing of food, nonalcoholic beverages, and other similar items.
The contract period will be for five years, with two, five-year
options. SIC Code 5812. This procurement is being issued on an
unrestricted basis; firms of any size may submit an offer. The
cafeteria is newly renovated and there is no incumbent contractor at
this location. This solicitation, including any documents related to
this procurement will be available on the Internet only on or about
March 5, 1999. It is the offeror_s responsibility to monitor this site
for the release of the solicitation and amendments, if any. Offerors
are also responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation
and amendments, if any. These documents will be in .pdf format and will
reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a
WWW browser application. Interested parties may access the
solicitation at http://eps.arnet.gov. This site provides instructions
for downloading the solicitation file. Contractors can register to be
notified by e-mail of new postings, including synopsis, solicitations,
and amendments to the site, so they do not have to check the site
daily. Contractors are encouraged to periodically check the sight as it
is your responsibility to make sure you have all of the documents
related to a solicitation. Potential offerors downloading this
solicitation shall notify the Contracting Office in writing (either by
mail, electronic mail or facsimile) in order to be placed on the
