Officer,(301)394-3371 PRESOLICITATION SYNOPSIS The contractor shall
provide a camera system to collect data on ammunition and explosive
devices for research and development purposes. In order to obtain the
correct data necessary the equipment must be able to determine the
velocity of the device or explosive, rate and angle of the impact, and
to have a high quality video record of the operation. The camera is an
NTSC system including a color camera and 5m camera cable, VCR processor
cassette tape, Y/C and BNC adapter, 5.5 -- 55mm F/1.6 lens mating
connectors for power carrying cases for camera and VCR. Other items
needed for camera are A power supply, 110-220 VAC with 110v and 220v
connector, A standard tripod, a color video monitor 40" with 800 TV
lines underscan 110/220 VAC NTSC/PAL, U.S. powercoard supplied with
monitor, 25m Camera cable, 25m operation unit (keypad) cable, Nikon
Lens to C3 bayonet mount adapter, C mount to C3 bayonet mount adapter,
and a Kodak lens kit, with extension tubes close-uf lenses, adapters,
four camera lense 12.5-75mm zoom, 25mm, 50mm and 90mm and case. This
is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to Eastman Kodak
Company, San Diego, CA. An extensive market survey was performed on the
internet and two other companies were contacted: MEC and NAC Visual
Systems. Eastman Kodak was the only company found that could meet the
Government's minimum requirements. All responsible sources may submit
