Solicitation scheduled to issue on or about February 24, 1999. This solicitation is a standing solicitation for Federal Supply Schedule FSC Group 71, Part III, Section E -- Miscellaneous Furniture including Security Filing Cabinets, Safes, Vault Doors, etc. from which the Government contemplates award of contracts for supplies listed in the Schedule of Items. There is no closing date for receipt of offers, therefore, offers may be submitted for consideration at any time during the life of this solicitation. Significant changes since last issue of this schedule's solicitation include addition of Special Item Nos. (SINs) 489-98, International Products; 489-99, Introduction of New Products (INP); and 489-192, RoomSafes, to those already on schedule and are now allowed to be supplied if offer provides distinct advantages to the government. Contact points for locations outside the domestic scope are mandatory in order to provide those locations with local assistance. Also, contractors on this schedule will be required to accept the government purchase card for purchases up the Micro purchase threshold (currently $2,500.00), to post and maintain their price list on the GSA Advantage! Website, (http://fss.gsa.gov.) report their sales electronically over the Internet and achieve at least $25,000.00 in sales in the first year in order to be maintained on the schedule. This solicitation will remain in effect unless amended and/or replaced by an updated solicitation. This solicitation may be updated on a semi-annual (or sooner) basis, therefore, offerors should check the site for the latest revision of the solicitation prior to submission. All contracts under this Multiple Award Schedule will be for the period of the date ofaward (DOA) plus five years and include an Option to Extend the Term of the Contract for an additional five year period, unless canceled sooner.
