NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for annual maintenance for ControlShell, Stethoscope, and Network Data Delivery Service (NDDS) software. Maintenance is to include technical support, software updates, and manual updates. NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Real-Time Innovations, Inc., 155A Moffett Park Dr., Suite 111, Sunnyvale, CA 94089. Real-Time Innovations, Inc., is the only known source that can meet the minimum requirements of the Government for this procurement. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have until close of business on February 23, 1999, to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after February 23, 1999, or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Facsimile responses to the identified point of contact are acceptable. All qualified responsible business sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
