66 -- MODEL 1.0 REAL-TIME VOLUMETRIC SCANNER SOL NHLBI-HL-P-99-383 POC Gina M. Cianflone, Contract Specialist, (301) 435-0363; Debra C. Hawkins, Contracting Officer, (301) 435-0366 The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intends to purchase the brand name or equivalent Model 1.0 Real-time Volumetric Scanner for real-time three dimensional imaging of the heart manufactured by 3-D Ultrasound Inc., 700 West Main St., Durham, NC 27701. Specifically, the contractor shall deliver and install the Model 1.0 Volumetric Scanner for real-time three-dimensional echocardiography or equal to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. The system shall have all of the following mandatory minimum specifications: (1) It shall be an independent system that is portable. (2) The Model 1.0 shall include the following: TRANSDUCERS: (a) 2000 element 2.5 MHZ active matrix array, (b) 2000 element 3.5 MHZ active matrix array, (c) 2000 element 3.5 MHZ active matrix array. BEAMFORMER: (a) 256 channels 16:1 parallel processor (4096 ultrasound signal processing channels). DISPLAY: (a) Conventional 2D real-time display, (b) Multiple real-time simultaneous planes with two possible formats, (c) Two Orthogonal B-Scan planes with 2 C-Scan planes in Orthographic Projection. The B-Scan and the C-Scan planes are adjustable, (d) Two orthogonal B-Scan planes with 2 C-Scan planes in Sheared Projection. The B-Scan planes and the C-Scan planes shall be adjustable. VOLUME STORAGE: (a) 256 Mbytes on line Digital Storage (six seconds of Cardiac Date). It shall have the ability to be separated into four 1.5 second segments, (b) Magneto Optical Disk Drive for saving studies to disk. Sony Model; SMO-F541/SMO-F544, (c) Data management and review software, (d) Measurement Software, (e) ECG-3-lead with separate ECG output. MONITOR: (a) Sony Trinitron Color Graphic Monitor, model PGM-100PIMD with tilt and swivel. COLOR FLOW AND DOPPLER: (a) Doppler modes on 2.5MHz matrix array, (b) Choice of velocity or frequency display with angle correction, (c) PRF selection, (d) ECG display, (e) Readout of frame rate, (f) Adjustable gain, (g) Wall filter selection, (h) Baseline shift, (I) Color volume sector volume and position adjustments, (j) Selectable threshold for color flow, (k) Color map selection, (l) Color reject. (3) The offeror shall deliver and install the system to the site furnished by NIH, and shall provide immediate on-site training. (4) The offeror shall provide information on warranty and repair. A firm-fixed price type contract will be negotiated. Delivery and installation shall occur within thirty (30) calendar days after contract award. Tests will be performed to ascertain that the equipment is functional before final acceptance. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
