solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUES THE
ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSLAS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN
SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation No. RFQ 99Q0025 is issued
as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition circular 97-10. The associated SIC Code is 7521, and the
small business size standard is $5.0 million. The U. S. Secret Service
has a requirement for quantity of 100 Parking Spaces, 90 sedans and 10
vans, within a two block radius of the building at 1615 M Street, NW,
during the two-month period March 1, 1999 through April 30, 1999. The
selected garage(s) must be situated within a two (2) block radius of
the above Secret Service location. The exact boundaries should be:
North -- O Street; South -- KStreet; East -- 14th Street; West 18th
Street. Indoor or outdoor parking is acceptable. Outdoor parking must
be fenced with an attendant during normal operating hours. Outdoor
parking must be gated and locked after normal business hours.
Twenty-four hour access/egress must be made available for outdoor
parking by key card or key, etc., at no additional cost to the
Government. Indoor garage parking must have access/egress control
(attendant during operating hours). Twenty-four (24) hour access may be
by any means (attendant, key card, key, etc., at no additional cost to
the Government). The garage must be available for Secret Service use
seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day during the
rental period. Self-parking capability is required. Standard commercial
garage(s) are acceptable. The garage must be suitable for vehicular
parking with appropriate exhaust fume ventilation. The garage parking
space must be clean, free of rubbish and garbage on the floor and in
parking spaces. Garage must be free from mice and rats, snakes and
other unsafe rodents. Free of water standing in floor parking area.
Garage must be well lighted for security reasons. Parking spaces should
be of that standard size and/or reserved for vans. The Government
reserves that right to make multiple awards as a result of this notice.
Quotations should be faxed to 202/435-7138, ATTN: Renea Morton, not
later than 12 NOON, Thursday, February 25, 1999. The Government
anticipates an award date on or about February 26, 1999. The Government
will not be responsible for any costs in the preparation of responses
