be contained within a single site complex that allows access to, from
and between meeting and lodging rooms without exiting building. 2.
Meeting rooms must be in close proximity of each other. 3. Meeting
rooms must be free from support post or other obstacles to provide
unobstructed views. 4. flipcharts and projection screens must be
available for all meeting rooms. 5. A general session room is required
for at least 110 people school-room style (2 participants seated per
6-foot table -- 30-inch deep tables). The room must have at least 2,800
square feet and a minimum of 14-foot ceilings. The room must be
available starting at 8:00 am. March 29 and have a 24-hour hold on it.
Room must have two skirted supply tables, one microphone for the
podium, and one wireless lavalier microphone. 6. One breakout room is
required for use as a computer lab. The room must be capable of holding
25 to 30 computers for classroom activity must be available beginning
Monday, March 22 through Saturday, April 3, 1999. This breakout room
must be kept under lock and key from the time of arrival of the
computers until they are assembled, used for training purposes, and
shipped out. 7. Two additional break rooms are required from 8:00 am
March 24 to 5:00 pm April 3. The rooms must have at least 8-foot
ceilings and a minimum of 570 square feet each for 30 people each,
conference style. 8. Two additional breakout rooms are required from
8:00 am March 24 to 5:00 pm April 3. The room must have at least 8-foot
ceilings and a minimum of 1,600 square feet each for 30 people, school
room style. 9. One additional breakout room is required for use as
administrative space from 8:00 am March 29 to 5:00 pm April 1. The room
must have at least 8-foot ceilings and a minimum of 740 square feet for
35 people, conference style. The room must be lockable, configured to
operate computers, printer, fax machine,small office copiers, and
telephone. At least two dedicated incoming/outgoing telephone lines are
required. This administrative space must be in close proximity to the
general session room (item 5). 10. ISDN line installation must be
available for the operation of the computers. 11. Audio-visual setup
and support must be available at all times, including at least one hour
prior to and one hour after set schedule for the day. 12. One full
American breakfast is required for morning of Tuesday, March 30
beginning at 6:30 am and lasting until 8:30 am for 110 participants.
Cost of breakfast must be withing perdiem allowance. Participants must
be able to move from the breakfast into the general session space
(item 5) at 8:30 am. Facility must be located within two miles of Ward
Avenue to allow for easy transportation to and from the National
Information Technology Center (NITC), a facility located on Ward
Avenue. A portion of the training event will take place at the NITC.
Lodging Room Specifications-March 24-April 1, 1999 1. The facility must
have available 110 lodging rooms March 28-April 1, 1999. The rooms must
be containedwithin a single site complex that allows access to and from
meeting rooms on March 29 -- April 1 without exiting the facility. 2.
Lodging requirements also include 10 sleeping rooms for the night of
March 24,25 and 26 and 20 sleeping rooms for the night of March 27. 3.
5% of the rooms must be designated for guests with disabilities. 4.
Lodging room rate must be at or below the perdiem rate for lodging and
must include all taxes. 5. 83% of the rooms must be nonsmoking rooms.
6. Rooms will be booked through a central coordinator and paid by
purchase order. 7. Each guest room shall have inside access only, and
no direct street access. 8. Each guest room shall have doors with
peepholes for corridor viewing, electronic locks, individually
controlled air conditioning/heating; desk and char; color TV with
cable; guest choice services including account review, video messages,
and video check-out; telephone convenient outlets for computer access;
coffeepot; iron and ironing board; clock radio with alarm; closets to
accommodate clothing for stay; sufficient coat, dress, slacks, shirt,
and skirt hangers; and lighting to maintain bright room appearance at
all times. 9. Facility amenities must include off-street parking; full
service restaurant; concierge; heated swimming pool and jucuzzi; fully
equipped in-house exercise room. 10. The facility must be near a
variety of restaurants. The restaurants must have disability access.
