The original synopsis is hereby modified as shown herein: The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire telecommunications support services for Naval Computer and Telecommunications Detachment (NCTD) Brunswick, Maine. This acquisition is for the provision of all services, functions, and tasks necessary to fulfill the NCTD Brunswick telecommunications mission, including: (1) Managing the telecommunications operation; (2) Operating the Tactical Support Communications (TSCOMM); (3) Managing the Communications Security Material System (CMS) Account; (4) Operating the Message Center; (5) Providing CMS Flight Issue support; (6) Providing preventive and corrective maintenance for all TSCOMM and Message Center equipment and systems; (7) Providing training to NCTD Brunswick customers. The U.S. Navy has determined that this requirement is a c! ommercial activity as defined by OMB Circular A-76 and will be directly converted from Government to commercial provision. A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated and will be solicited using commercial item practices in accordance with FAR Part 12. The period of performance is for a base period of two months and will contain provisions for four, twelve-month option periods. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification code is 8744 and the size standard is $20 million. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia.
