Thadeus, Purchasing Agent, 314/286-4234; Contracting Officer, Beverly Franklin The St. Louis (Missouri) Housing Authority (SLHA) is seeking qualified firm(s) or individuals to provide Developer Services for Phase I of the Near Southside Redevelopment. The SLHA, in partnership with the City of St. Louis, is undertaking this project within the context of a larger HOPE VI neighborhood revitalization program. The Developer Partner (DP) will be responsible for all development activities in coordination with the SLHA's Program Manager. The SLHA is asking developers for proposals on how they would develop the site, including plans for financing, housing mix, design, marketing, and management. The DP will develop, own and manage the new rental units to be produced in Phase I. The DP will construct, or procure construction, of 152 units of rental housing in accordance with HUD, SLHA and MHDC requirements; oversee construction and ensure completion in a timely and cost-effective manner; ensure that all required occupancy permits and other necessary approvals are obtained after constructioncompletion to permit occupancy and operation of the development. The offeror must identify a general contractor as part of the DP team. A pre-proposal meeting will be held at the SLHA, 4100 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108, on Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at 10:00 a.m. (local time).
