Crane Divison's homepage, www.crane.navy.mil. The Navy requires one
Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machine. The machine will be used
for manufacture of plastic injection molds, extrusion dies, and other
hardware required for research and development of military end-use
items. The machine shall be quality cast iron base, table, column and
head designed. It shall be 3 axis, X, Y, Z. It shall have a full
enclosure which will contain metal shavings and coolant. It shall have
a dual screen control that enables the programmer/operator to view
graphics and text without switching back and forth. Delivery shall be
required 120 days after award of contract and shall be FOB destination
Crane IN. The vendor shall be responsible for unloading the machine at
Crane and leveling and setting in place. After the machine has had
utilities connected by the user the vendor shall provide two days
training onsite at Crane IN. Data in the form of operation/maintenance
manuals, schematics, drawings, and parts list will be required. The
successful contractor will berequired to demonstrate ability to provide
onsite service calls within 24 hours notification. Final inspection and
acceptance will be at Crane, IN. All responsible sources may submit a
proposal which shall be considered. The solicitation will be issued on
or about 25 February and will close on or about 24 March 1999. This
