The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) is issuing an Updated Market Survey for a possible competitive HETS solicitation in fiscal year 2000 for a multi-year contract. The HETS is a truck/trailer system, which transports the 70 ton M1 main battle tank, and other heavy tracked vehicles and payloads, on and off road. The Updated Market Survey is intended to provide additional information to potential vendors in order to further assess market interest, and is a continuation of TACOM efforts to openly communicate its requirements with industry.
