Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 in accordance with 41 USC 253(c)1, the Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Autovalet Systems LLC, 4007 F Westfax Drive, Chantilly, Virginia. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation RFQ 656-15-99 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).. SIC Code 3582 applies and the small business size is 500 employees. The vendor shall replace the present punched hole card reader on the laundry Autovalet system MARK V70070E to a bar code reader system using our existing personnel identification cards and upgrade the present gantry to work with the new bar code reader system. Replaced parts shall remain the property of the VAMC. Installation and training are to be provided. Estimated delivery and installation date to be within 90 days after date of award.
