The work includes the provision of an Air Operations Control Tower.The tower facility will be constructed of reinforced concrete on pile foundation with a structural steel cab. It will contain sitework and landscaping; electrical and mechanical utilities; heating, ventilation, fire protection, air conditioning, an UPS system, an elevator, and incidental related work. The new tower will be connected to the existing Air Operations Building by a one story elevated corridor. The top three floors of the existing five story Control Tower will be removed and a new roof provided over the remaining portion. The approximate Solicitation Release Date is 22 February 1999.
