SOL WASC9-725 DUE 022299 POC Randall Brown (206) 526-6226/FAX (206) 526-6025 Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with qualified source to provide field work and data analysis for the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary (OCNMS). Scope of work includes taking video and acoustic surveys in the OCNMS near Port Angeles, Washington. Video transects will include at least three 50 m video transects. Video quadrats will include at least 60 video quadrats to be taken at each station. All dive sites and transect endpoints will be located with DGPS. Acoustic survey to be performed. Data analysis includes capturing each video quadrat as a digital computer image. All acoustic survey results will be geo-referenced and digitally processed in an ArcView GIS product. Final product will be ArcView compatible GIS. Source(s) responding to this notice must possess minimum Ph.D. in zoology or related field and experience with GIS. Sources responding must possess minimum qualifications and state on request for solicitation. Simple requests for the solicitation will not be honored. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
