The National Institute of Mental Health proposes to issue solicitation No. NIMH-99-OC-0005 entitled "NIHM Constituency Outreach and Education" as a 100% full and open competitive procedure under SIC Code 8742. The NIMH plans to award a three year cost-reimbursement contract with two -- one year options and award a contract on or about June 30, 1999. The purpose of this contract is to support the Office of Communication and Public Liaison's educational support activities in furthering the broad dissemination of research results and science-based knowledge that is contributing to the improved diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. The major objectives to be accomplished under this requirement will be to: 1. Design and implement a program to select, manage, maintain, train inform and monitor NIMH Outreach Partners 2. Provide logistical and administrative support to the NIMH Education Network and to special events such as screening days, and to exhibits and presentations at events such as the National Black Family Reunion. 3. Provide management, logistical support and staffing of a NIMH exhibits program 4. Provide administrative activities related to outreach to special populations, including Latinos, African-Americans, Asian Americans, and other ethnic minorities as well as elderly, youth and college-aged populations 5. Provide administrative activities related to marketing, distribution and tracking of NIMH -- produced educational materials. Request for Proposal (RFP) No. NIMH-99-OC-0005 will be available on or about February 19, 1999 and the receipt date for proposals will be on or about April 12, 1999.
