The ACC Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order, under other than full and open competition, to Sterling Software for the procurement of Annual Technical Support For CSP-SMART (SMART License and Service Renewal)Serial #s: 808216E9, 808216F3, 80821712, 8082170A, 80821711, 8082170D, 808216F0, 80821714, and 8082172A. CSP-SMART is a proprietary software product of Sterling Software, and technical support is unavailable from any other source. The Air Force intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This proposed procurement is for supplies/services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Responses must be received no later than 3PM EST on 22 Feb 99. Responses must include written documentation providing conclusive evidence that the offeror is able to provide the described technical support. Responses shall be submitted in sufficient detail to enable accomplishment of a thorough technical evaluation. All responses submitted in accordance with the instructions provided herein will be evaluated by the Contracting Officer on the basis of the information submitted. All responsible sources may submit a response that shall be considered by the agency.
