Dakota Air National Guard (NDANG), Hector Field IAP, Fargo, North
Dakota. The project consists of construction of a 37,000 SF Base Supply
Complex by altering and adding to the existing 22,766 SF Fraser Armory;
to include heated warehouse, hazardous storage, cold storage, customer
service areas, and administrative spaces. Site work includes clearing,
stripping, excavating, grading, filling, back-filling, flexible and
rigid paving, curb and gutter, concrete walks, underground utilities,
site structures, and other related work. Structural work includes
construction of spread footings; reinforced concrete foundation walls;
masonry bearing walls; steel bar joist, metal roof deck, fully adhered
EPDM roofing membrane, and rigid insulation roofing system; new
exterior cavity wall of face brick and block units, rigid insulation
core, and interior block, brick veneer over existing exterior walls;
and other related work. Interior finishes include sealed or painted
concrete floors, carpeting, vinyl composition tile, quarry tile,
burnished and glazed masonry units, drywall systems, paint, acoustic
tile ceilings, and other related items. Mechanical work includes
heating, ventilating and air conditioning, plumbing, building drainage,
installation of exterior above-ground fuel storage tank, and other
related work. Electrical work includes service panels, primary and
secondary distribution systems, interior and exterior lighting, power
for mechanical systems, alarm system, communications systems, and other
related work. Demolition of buildings 202, 203, 204, 205, 213, and 216
totaling 33,433 SF is included. Also included is demolition of
appurtenant utilities and pavements. Additive Bid Items Description
include: ABI #1: Millwork (finish carpentry) including related
mechanical/electrical work. ABI #2: Concrete loading dock. ABI #3:
Landscaping (i.e. seeding, sodding, trees, shrubs, and irrigation
systems). The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and
$5,000,000.00. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is 1
March 1999; for opening bids is 8 April 1999, and for completing
contract performance is 30 April 2000. Plans will be available for
inspection without charge at various Builders Exchanges throughout
North Dakota as well as a few sites in South Dakota and Minnesota.
There is a non-refundable fee of $25.00 for each set of plans
requested. Checks are to be made payable to the Disbursing Officer DSSN
5570. Potential bidders who desire a set of plans are to send a request
(on letterhead) to USPFO for ND, AGND-PFO-PC, P.O. Box 5511, Bismarck,
North Dakota, 58506-5511. Requests for the invitation for bids should
be submitted by 1 March 1999. Please indicate whether your firm is a
large business, small business, SDB, etc. and if you wish to receive
future notices in the event you do not submit a bid. Faxed requests
will not be accepted. This project is 100% set-aside for small
business. REGISTRATION IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR DATABASE IS REQUIRED
