solicitation DAAA09-99-R-2024 which was originally posted in CBDNet on
January 20, 1999 and printed in the January 25, 1999 issue of the
Commerce Busi ness Daily. DAAA09-99-R-2024 Amendment 0001. A. The
purpose of this Amendment is to revise the Unit of Issue to read Tons
(TN) in lieu of Pounds (LB). Therefore the following sentence is
revised to read: The contracting office anticipates awarding a
Requirements Type Con tract for a minimum quantity of 0 tons and a
maximum quantity of 13,389 tons. FAR clause 52.216-19, Order
Limitations (Oct 1995) is revised to reflect the conversion of pounds
to tons. The following sentences are revised to read: (a) Minimum
Order. When the Govern ment requires supplies or services covered by
this contract in an amount of less than 150 tons the Government is not
obligated to pur chase, nor is the Contractor obligated to furnish,
those supplies or services under the contract. (b) maximum order. The
Contractor is not obligated to honor -- (1) Any order for a single item
in excess of 500 tons; (2) Any order for a combination of items in
excess of 500 tons; or (3) A series of orders from the same ordering
office within three days that together call for quantities exceeding
the limitation in subparagraph (b)(1) or (2) of this section. The
