Mummaugh, Contract Specialist, 301-443-1301, E-MAIL Internet:"pm69j@nih.gov" The National Institute on Drug Abuse is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations having the in-house capability to establish a NIDA Center for Genetic Studies to accomplish in an efficient, rapid, and cost-effective manner the following: (1)receipt of clinical, diagnostic, pedigree structure, and other data and blood samples from approximately ten new grant projects; (2) processing of these data and materials to create databases, cell lines, and DNA samples; and (3)wide distribution of all data and materials in the NIDA human Genetics Initiative to qualified investigators in the scientific community (including scientists in industry, the NIH intramural program, and public and private universities) granted access by NIDA. NIDA anticipates awarding a one-year contract with four option years and optional quantities.
