On a sole source basis to Gentex Corporation of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract for the following supplies in support of the Navy Combat Edge System (NCE) for Fiscal year (FY) 1999 through Fiscal year (FY) 2002. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price for estimated quantities of 2000 Oxygen Masks and associated equipment with a base year with three option years. Gentex Corporation is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of these systems and is the only known source possessing the requisite experience to support these requirements within the time constraints of the U.S. Navy.
