will be conducted under the direction of the Seattle District, U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers to perform the repair of approximately 6,560
lineal feet of revetment on the Fremont Cut, located between lake Union
and the Lake Washington Ship Canal, Seattle, Washington. Equipment,
with all necessary operators, and rock will be required to be available
on or about March 15, 1999. It is anticipated the work will include use
of the following equipment with operator(s): (a) Floating plant w/spuds
to include 50 ton crane minimum capable of 80 ft reach w/1 cubic yard
clamshell bucket, (b) Tug capable of towing floating plant and rock
barge, (c) Hydraulic excavator with thumb, minimum 260 Hp and 40 ft
reach; and (d) material barge with maximum width of 80 ft. Material to
be provided by the contractor is approximately 8,000 tons class II
riprap delivered by barge. Construction timeframe is estimated between
March 15 and April 30, 1999. AVAILABILITY: Plans and specs available
on or about 2 February 1999 at no charge per set. No individual sheets
are available. Documents will be issued on a first come, first served
basis until supply is exhausted. No phone requests accepted. Refer to
IFB Number DACW67-99-B-0026 when ordering. Requests MUST BE IN WRITING
and be received before bid documents will be mailed. Requests may be

plans-room-cenws-ct@usace.army.mil, an additional confirmation copy of
your request need not be mailed. Please be sure to include if you are
a Prime, Sub or Plans Room. Plans and specs may be picked up from the
Plans Room Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:30
PM. Submit requests by 28 January 1999. Estimated dollar value is in
the range of $250,000 to $500,000 and completion period is 45 days.
