Work will be conducted under the direction of the Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to perform the repair of approximately 6,560 lineal feet of revetment on the Fremont Cut, located between lake Union and the Lake Washington Ship Canal, Seattle, Washington. Equipment, with all necessary operators, and rock will be required to be available on or about March 15, 1999. It is anticipated the work will include use of the following equipment with operator(s): (a) Floating plant w/spuds to include 50 ton crane minimum capable of 80 ft reach w/1 cubic yard clamshell bucket, (b) Tug capable of towing floating plant and rock barge, (c) Hydraulic excavator with thumb, minimum 260 Hp and 40 ft reach; and (d) material barge with maximum width of 80 ft. Material to be provided by the contractor is approximately 8,000 tons class II riprap delivered by barge. Construction timeframe is estimated between March 15 and April 30, 1999.
