Z -- AMBULATORY SURGERY RENOVATION SOL IFB261-84-99 DUE 031999 POC Mark Fenicle, FAX 415-750-2170 Work includes construction, demolition and necessary removal of existing structures of approximately 28,000 square feet in buildings 200 and 203, including structural steel, insulation, roofing, drywall, lath and plaster, sheet and tile vinyl flooring, ceramic tile, doors and hardware, painting, casework, lockers, glass and glazing, glass block, signage and graphics, mechanical, HVAC, Medical Gas Systems, plumbing, electrical, communications system, pneumatic tube system and certain other items per drawings and specifications. All work is to be completed within 365 calendar days after notice to proceed. Estimated cost of construction is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitation issue date has changed from previous notice, estimated availability is now February 16, 1999. Large businesses must submit a subcontracting plan with their bid, subcontracting goals will be included with the solicitation. Requests for solicitation must be in writing and accompanied by a nonrefundable fee in the amount of $100, check or money order only, made out to the Department of Veterans Affairs. No response will be made to telephonic requests for the solicitation, or other requests that are not in writing and do not include the $100 fee. Solicitations are limited in number and will be issued on a first come first serve basis, only one solicitation will be issued per organization.
