The VA Medical Center, Danville, Illinois will be operating a community-based outpatient clinic on the campus of the Indiana Veterans Home in Lafayette, Indiana. The clinic will open approximately March or April 1999. Intent to place a sole source contract with the present provider of laboratory services for the Indiana Veterans Nursing Home is based on ease of access and continuity of care for veterans seen at the VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic and the patients placed at the nursing home. Contractors that can furnish the required services are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response clearly stating their ability to fill this requirement. Affirmativeness would be indicated by a statement as to exactly how they would be able to provide these services while maintaining ease of access and continuity of care as stated above.
