solicitation was issued on 26 Jun 98 and postponed as a result of
Hurricane Georges disaster. Three (3) amendments have been issued and
amendment four (4) will be issued to make changes to the Plans and
Specifications. Contractors who received solicitation number
NAFGE3-98-B-0014 will automatically received amendment four (4). Other
responsible Contractors interested in bidding on this project shall
submit a request for the solicitation in writing and will receive the
solicitation with all amendments. The solicitation with four
(4)amendments will be issued on or about 16 February 1999 and opened on
or about 18 March 1999. Work consists of three projects. (1) Rain
Shelters and Starter Station (D.O. File No. 894-37,504): At a minimum,
work for the Rain Shelters and Starter Station involves demolition of
an existing steel pipe rain shelter and two concrete slabs, light
grading, and the installation of three new pre-engineered galvanized
metal structures (designed to withstand wind loads of 120 mph) which
are open on four sides. Two of the structures are approximately 12'x24'
and the third is 24'x24'. The roofs of the structures and the columns
of steel tubes and the roofing material being standing metal seam roof
with color to match the existing Golf Clubhouse. The structures will
be installed per manufacturer's directions on new monolithic slabs with
thickened edges. Lights and water (electric water cooler) will be
provided to each structure. The Starter Station will be a 6'x6'
pre-engineered galvanized metal building with vinyl sided over wood
(pressure treated) stud walls, a dutch door, hinged Bahamian shutters,
and a wall mounted electric water cooler. The station will be erected
on a reinforced thickened concrete slab. The inside of the starter
station will have a shelf, ceiling fan, power, and phone. (2) Golf
Clubhouse North Parking Lot, Drainage (D.O. File No. 894-37,506): At a
minimum, work will involve the installation of a new storm drain
system and removal of an existing 36" storm drain line. Prior to
removal of the existing drain, the new storm drain system has to be
installed to prevent flooding around the clubhouse. The new lines will
involve the installation of one drop inlet, two curb drain inlets, two
manholes, and approximately 80 LF of 36" RCP, 55 LF of 24" RCP, 200 LF
of curbing, and 800 SF of Type S-1 asphalt paving/patching. (3) Golf
Clubhouse Patio Addition (D.O. File No. 894-37,505): At a minimum, work
will involve the addition of a 21'x40' enclosed patio area to the
existing Golf Clubhouse. The addition will be constructed on a
thickened monolithic slab with welded wire fabric reinforcing. The
columns for the roof will have a shallow spread footing foundation
system. The addition will be architecturally compatible with the
existing clubhouse and will have exposed wood roof framing, concrete
columns with stucco finish, tongue and groove roof decking and an
asphalt shingle roof. The exterior walls of the addition will have
adjustable aluminum louver/screen enclosures constructed atop a low
concrete block/stucco wall. The addition will have electrical wall
outlets, ceiling fans, lights, and etc. NOTE: The three project
construction areas are heavily used by golfers year round. All work
shall be phased by the contractor to consider minimal disruption to
play on the golf course and to the golfers. Time for Completion is 150
calendar days. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION. THE MAGNITUDE OF
CONSTRUCTION IS BETWEEN $100,000.00 AND $250,000.00. NO CHARGE FOR
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. INCLUDE YOUR FEDERAL TAX IDENTIFICATION
NUMBER, TELEPHONE NUMBER, AND FACSIMILE NUMBER ON YOUR REQUEST.
