The requirement is for Igniter, Time Blasting Fuse w/Shock Tube Capability: M81, P/N 12972620. The M81 is a hand held pull type Igniter to inititate Modernized Demolition Initiators (MDI) and M700 Time Blasting Fuse and can be used in all weather conditions including underwater. The MDI is a family of non-electric initiating system, which uses Shock Tube technology to transmit the initiating signal to the explosives or demolition devices. The Shock Tube consists of a small diameter plastic tube of extruded polymer with a very fine layer of energetic material deposited on the inner wall. The Shock Tube is non-fragmenting and noiseless.
