Z -- METAL DOOR REPLACEMENT SOL 27837-CS POC Ms. Cynthia Sugg, 252-752-7181 The United States Information Agency (USIA) International Bureau of Broadcasting (IBB) has a requirement to replace exterior metal doors on various buildings at its Voice of America (VOA) Greenville Transmitting Station Site A and Site B. The Contractor shall be required to remove and dispose of old doors; clean and prepare door openings; and provide/install new door frames, bucks, saddles, doors, and hardware. The period of performance is three (3) months from Notice To Proceed (NTP). GRS is an active high frequency transmission site and work shall be performed without interfering with its broadcast schedule. Offerors shall conduct a mandatory inspection of the facilities before submitting proposals, and these dates will be identified in the upcoming RFP. The RFP will be available 15 days from the date of this notice. Construction cost is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. Qualified offerors may request a copy of the forthcoming solicitation by submitting a written request to the Contracting Officer, Mr. Gary Hosford, via facsimile at (202) 260-0855. Pursuant to FAR Subpart 36.211, the Contracting Officer has determined that the distribution of this solicitation will be limited to Offerors located within a one-hundred (100) mile radius of the Greenville, NC Transmitting Station. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to the forthcoming solicitation document, and all proposals shall be considered by the Agency. This notice is not a RFP or IFB. [See Note 1].
