Michael Dodd, SEA 02522, (703) 602-8000 Ext 568 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends award sole source Contract N00024-99-C-5209 to Raytheon Systems Company, Naval and Maritime Systems of 1847 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871-1087 for production of six each OT-134A Continuous Waive Illuminators (CWI) under the MK-74 TARTAR MFCS Program. The award is to include a separate CWI Control Panel, various types of spares, Technical Manuals, training, field service engineering (FES) support, test sets and other ancillary equipment. This procurement is in accordance with the requirements of Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) No. KS-P-LOZ. This LOA is between the United States of America and the Government of the Republic of Korea. Raytheon is the original designer, developer and the only company to ever produce the MK-74 TARTAR MFCS. As such, Raytheon is the only known firm possessing requisite technical expertise and manufacturing capability that can perform the required production effort and FES support in a cost, effective manner while negating any impact to the Korean Navy's shipbuilding program.
