on an all or none sole source basis, the following Multi-Format Tape
Duplication System manufactured by Duplication Technology, which now is
Duplication Systems Inc. of Boulder, Colorado: (1) Multi-Format Tape
Duplication System consisting of system control unit in a single tower
configuration, color monitor, keyboard, 4.0GB hard disk for master
image storage and duplication drives as follows: 4-Panasonic CD-R
drives, 4-Sony SMO-f551 drives, 4-2GB Jaz drives (1 system). The AEGIS
Computer Center (ACC) mission is to provide the facilities and support
infrastructure required to support AEGIS computer program lifecycle
support engineering (LSE) for AEGIS class Cruisers and Destroyers. LSE
includes maintaining, updating, delivering and installing AEGIS
computer programs. The ACC currently has a Duplication Technology media
duplication system, which is used to duplicate 9-track, QIC, 4mm and
8mm media in support of site and fleet deliveries. AEGIS Baseline 6 is
using CDs,Magneto Optical and Jazz drives and therefore the ACC needs
the ability to duplicate this media, as well as copy from one type of
media to another (ex. 9-track to CD). The design of the duplication
system and interface protocol is proprietary to Duplication Systems,
Inc. In order to be able to copy from one type of media to another, the
ACC must expand the existing Duplication Technology system. The
Duplication System must be compatible with the Duplication Technology
protocol and disk formats. This synopsis/solicitation will be awarded
utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The above system must be
Y2K compliant. Contractors must provide written documentation
addressing the Y2K compliant issue. All responding vendors must provide
their CAGE Code, Dunn and Bradstreet number, Tax Identification number
and must be registered in the Central Contractor's Registration Data
Base. The FSC Code is 7010 and the SIC Code is 3571. All responding
contractors must provide written documentation showing that Duplication
Systems, Inc. authorize them to sell this system. All vendors may fax
their quote, which shall be considered by the Naval Surface Warfare
Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Va. to 540-653-7016 Attn: Barbara
Walters, Code SD18. Pricing information shall be provided with the
vendor's quote either as a published price list or previous history. If
vendor is providing previous history, it must include the contractor's
name, address, point of contact, phone/fax numbers, the Purchase Order
number, date and price of purchase. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT ISSUE A
WRITTEN QUOTE AS ALL ITEMS ARE CALLED OUT IN THIS CBD NOTICE. The items
shall be shipped FOB Destination to the Naval Surface Warfare Center,
Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Va. 22448. Closing date is February 10,
