& Exchange Commission (SEC) seeks to enter into up to three contracts
with commercial recruiting firms to assist in locating highly qualified
candidates for various upcoming Division of Corporation Finance
(DCF)staff accountant vacancies. Recruiting firms may be used for up to
thirty positions total within the next one to two years. Interested
firms will be given an opportunity to submit reponses to Request for
Quotes that address: (1) Experience and success in locating highly
qualified candidates for senior technical positions with the accounting
profession and hard to fill positions. Candidates referred will have
been good matches for the position requirements and salary. (2)
Qualifications and experience of the staff proposed to be made
available for the project vacancies. (3) Assist applicants they idenify
in understanding the nature of the SEC position and application package
requirements (e.g. resumes, or other application package that meets the
federal requirements, plus a supplemental written statement addressing
each mandatory and/or quality ranking factor. (4) Screen application
for all identified candidates and forward all which meet the minimum
qualifications to the SEC for further consideration on or before the
closing date of the announcement. Recruiting firms must abide by the
regulatory requirements found in Title 5, Code of Federal Regulations,
Part 300-Employment Subpart D-Use of Commercial Recruiting Firms and
Nonprofit Employment Services among other requirements, recruiting
firms may not charge candidates any fees for referral to federal
positions; must screen candidates against the basic qualification
requirements and refer all candidates for consideration who meet those
requirements; and abide by equal opportunity laws and merit
principles. Experience in recruiting under contract regulations, but is
