is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and
a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number
99SQ307610 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation
document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) code is 3563. The small business size standard is
500 employees. Simplified Acquisition Procedures apply. This
acquisition is unrestricted. Line Item 001: Quantity 2 each; item
description -- air compressor packages: 2 stage, air-cooled,
reciprocating design rated for continuous operation at approximately 20
SCFM capacity @350-375 PSIG operating range operated by a 460VAC, 3
Phase ODP motor, 1.15SF. Each unit shall have the following: inlet
filter; air cooled intercooler; air cooled aftercooler; oil coalescer
and condensate auto drain on discharge; discharge check valve; auto
stop-start pressure switch; high temperature shutdown; and inter-stage
relief valve. Line Item 002: Quantity 2 each; item description -- Air
receiver tank, 30" DIA x 74" OA, 400 psig ASME, 200 gallon capacity,
vertical with skirt and angle clips, npt ports as required unlined
interior with epoxy paint, white exterior epoxy paint, calibrated
relief valve and automatic condensate drain. Delivery is to be made FOB
Destination to theBureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Dams Facilities
Office, Hoover Dam Warehouse, U.S. Highway 93, Boulder City, Nevada
89005 within 60 days of contract award. Deliveries will be accepted
between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, from Monday through
Thursday, excluding Federal holidays. Acceptance shall be made at
destination. The Government will award a contract resulting from this
solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the
soliciation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and
other factors considered. The following provisions and clauses apply to
this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial
Items; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items with the following
addenda: The following factors shall be used to evaluate quotations:
(1) Technical capability of the item, (2) Delivery time of replacement
parts and expendable parts. Replacement parts will be deliverable as
"shelf items" within 30 days. These parts would include all unit
components except the main casting itself. Delivery time of expendable
parts such as filters, o-rings, springs, valves, etc. These expendable
parts should be available immediately as stock items. 3. The cost of
replacement and expendable parts. Submit current price lists for these
parts with the quotation. (4) Price.; FAR 52.212-3, Offeror

provide a completed copy of this provision at 52.212-3 with their
quotation); FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial

Notice of Trade Agreements Act Evaluations -- Bureau of Reclamation
(OCT. 1998) is incorporated by reference and applies to this
acquisition. The Contractor shall extend to the Government the full
coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a
similar commercial sale, provided such warranty is available at no
additional cost to the Government. The resulting purchase order will be
a firm fixed-price purchase order. All quotations must be accompanied
with descriptive literature on the offered products so the Government
can evaluate the technical capabilities of the products. All
