offers for the purchase of a vehicle to be exported to South America.
This procurement is a small business set aside and a solicitation. No
additional information will be mailed out. Vendors with questions may
fax or call directly to the Contracting Officer listed above. The
vehicle required is as follows: One 1999 model super duty crew cab 4X2
pickup in a dark color outside and coordinating color inside. (Not
red). Must be able to accommodate at least 5-6 passengers. Require
leaded gasoline with manual transmission. Must have a trailer tow
package and air conditioning. Require manual mirror, AM/FM Stero pkg.
Fuel tank must hold at least 19 gallons. Vehicle must contain all the
standard features of such a model vehicle. Vendors are encouraged to
also offer on/off road tires and any additional features which they
might have on a vehicle in stock. Be sure to price any features which
are not standard as a separate item, so prices can be evaluated
exactly. The Government willmake an award to the responsible Offeror(s)
whose offer(s) conforms to the solicitation contained herein and is
most advantageous to the Government (i.e. that which represents the
best value to the Government), cost or price and other factors
including time period required for delivery to the port in Miami, FL,
considered. The combined relative merit of the technical evaluation
factors listed above will be more significant than cost or price in the
selection of the contractor. While the cost or price factor has no
numerical weight, it is a criterion in the overall evaluation of
proposals. Furthermore, the proposed cost or price must be reasonable
and reflect technical requirements. The Government may award to other
than the lowest priced offer. In the event that two or more offers are
technically equivalent, the cost/price and delivery time will be
primarily important. Total prices quoted must be FOB price to Miami,
FL. Note that all offers must be received by the Contracting Officer no
later than 4:30 P.M. E.S.T, on Feb 5, 1999. Please fax your offers to
