E-MAIL: Mozetta A. Edwards, M.A.EDWARDS@larc.nasa.gov. NASA Langley Research Center plans to issue a IFB for Services and Materials for Modifications to COLTS Test Chamber for Heated Testing. This requirement includes modifications to the test chamber and weather enclosure for installation of a ventilation system to cool the test chamber during heated testing. The ventilation system consists of new ballistic louvers, exhaust fans and circulation fans on the interior of the test chamber. The fans shall be provided with power and a control panel in the facility control room. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $100,000 and $250,000 and the effort shall be completed within 180 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1711 and $7,000,000, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about February 5, 1999, with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about March 5, 1999. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
