QGP QUADRUPOLE MASS SPECTROMETER SYSTEM DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Technology Center (FETC), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a fixed priced purchase order to Extrel Mass Spectrometry, Pittsburgh, PA to purchase a QGP Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer System that will include the following: (1) Quick Stick w/Iridium Filaments; (2) Smartools Operating System; (3) Questor IV Workstation (110 volt, 50.60 Hz); (4) Warranty and (5) 2-day installation. This purchase order is being issued to Extrel Mass Spectrometry because of the critical specifications of this instrument which are; (1) 3/4" rod diameter quadrupole mass filter for a 1 -- 250 AMU mass range; (2) Analyzing in real time up to 40 components; (3) Maintains a +/-5% component stability over a 30 day period; and (4) It is equipped with a dual-filament ion source that the second filament provides a backup in the event that the first filament fails. The Extrel Mass Spectrometer is unique in this field by meeting all of these specifications. This request is considered to be sole source to Extrel Mass Spectrometry.
