This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This notice is being issued as a Request for Offer (RFO) for a Thermographic Infrared Imaging System, quantity of 1 which shall meet the following salient characteristics: 1. Unit shall operate in the range of approximately 3 to 6 micron wave length 2. Image shall be 320 X 244 PIXELS 3. Optical field of view shall be no greater than 17X13 degrees 4. Selectable 256 OR 16 color/gray levels 5. Unit shall be stirling cooled 6. Unit shall be capable of remote control operation 7. PC analysis software and control software shall be provided and shall operate on a Government-owned Dell, 266 Mz,Pentium 2, PC 8. Shall be capable for 1500C operation with optical filter 9. Operation and maintenance manuals shall be provided The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-08. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3674 and 500, respectively. The offeror shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
