THIS ACQUISITION WILL BE MADE UNDER THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION THRESHOLD OF $100,000. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for a high-resolution seismic reflection survey to delineate paleochannels beneath Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. The USGS anticipates making an award to Kansas Geological Survey (KGS) of Lawrence, KS as the sole provider for this seismic survey due to being the only known research team with a noninvasive microvibrator available for experimental work and training. KGS developed the post-processing software. KGS also collected and maintains the existing seismic data set. Any vendor who may possess a noninvasive vibrator source who is willing to utililize it in experimental configurations, and provide training on the various configurations, and who has access to the post-processing source code is asked to provide an affirmative response. An affirmative response must include, but not be limited to, price lists and any additional information indicating a bona fide ability to meet this requirement.
