This is a Request for Information only. The United States Army is requesting technical information on current and advanced Low Power Technology, Techniques and Power Management. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) system design tools optimized for low power or which can easily be adapted for low power design; (2) design tools utilized in the design/analysis of low power circuitry and systems, from the component level up to and including the system level; (3) low power electronics design; (4) current areas of low power design/investigation/techniques; (5) power management techniques & technologies; (6) alternative materials utilized in low power electronics manufacture. The tools & techniques are to be utilized initially in analysis of the Land Warrior program, however it is anticipated that these tools and techniques will be adapted to other current/future US Army systems. Please provide any/all information pertaining to the above areas of interest no later than 15 February 1999 to Mr. Robert Heuner, US Army Research Development Engineering Center (RDEC), CECOM, Building 2700, AMSEL-RD-C2-AP-BA, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703.
