Thermal Couple Harness SOL N00421-99-Q-1038 DUE 021999 POC Jennifer Alvey, Contract Specialist, (301)757-9074 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to procure 200 each thermal couple harnesses (Bystrom Instrumentation Services, Part Number AM-THC) for the Pioneer Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Program which currently supports the Navy and Marine Corps by providing logistic support to the fleet users. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis with Bystrom Instrumentation Services, 6127 North Ravenswood Avenue, Chicago, IL 60660. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1; only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. Bystrom Instrumentation Services is the only authorized supplier of the thermal couple harnesses and owns the proprietary data rights. This will be a firm fixed price contract.
