Specialist, Contracting Officer, 301/594- 5122. The National
Institutes of Health (NIH) requires a contractor to provide
(approximately 350 different tests) laboratory test services on a
Government Wide Basis for a period of one (1) year with (9) one (1)
year successive option periods. The estimated yearly quantities of the
lab tests range from 3 each to 4,800 each. Some of the highest
estimated quantity tests are A. Cortisol, free, urine by competitive
binding, B. Testosterone, total, serum, and C. CA-125 test. The
contractor shall be able to electronically transmit all test results on
the existing Laboratory Information System (LIS) prior to contract
award. The contractor shall provide test interpretations and
consulations by doctoral experts, interpretive guides, and detailed
reference ranges. Parallel testing of specimans shall be done when
there are methodology changes. All contractors shall be rated based on
shortest average turn around times for supplying complete and accurate
test results. Packaging, marking and pick-up shall be from the NIHmain
campus, Building 10, Bethesda MD, in accordance with the statement of
work and specifications stated in the solicitation. It is anticipated
that an aggregate award will be made to a single contractor for all of
the required testing services. All responsible sources may submit a
