This procurement will be for commercial services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 and will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Consultation services shall consist of the contractor's review of SSA Disability Case Files. There will be no contact with patients. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. The period of performance shall be one year from either the date of award or June 1, 1999, whichever is later, with provisions for the inclusion of four one-year option periods. Request for Quotation (RFQ) number SSA-RFQ-99-3744 is scheduled for release on or about January 25, 1999, with quotations due 21 days later. Requests for the RFQ should be received no later than 10 days after the date of this publication. No telephone requests for the RFQ will be honored. This requirement is a 100% small-business set-aside. Quotations received from OTHER than a small business will be deemed unacceptable and given no further consideration.
