Contract line item 0001 is for 47 EA 4th Stage Turbine Vane, NSN: 2840-00-021-8170RW P/N: 6846995 Size/Demeinsions: 10 x 12 x 5 inches. Form/Fit/Function: 4th Stage Turbine Vane segments are retained rotationally by the tangs on the 3rd Stage Vane segment. 4th Stage Vane assy shroud the "knives edge" on the turbine wheel and spacer to form air seals. The purpose of the 4th Stage Turbine Vane is to use of this air seal arrangement increases turbine efficiency by minimizing air leakage between the Vane Assy and the Turbine Rotor.
