McBride, 215-656-6917 The U.S. Army Corps of engineers, Philadelphia District intends to award a firm a fixed price contract that would provide dry-docking and repair services for the Surveyboat Shuman. Prospective contractors must have dry-docking capabilities. Drydock certification will be a factor in any award in accordance with Department of Navy requirements. The measurements of the Surveyboat Shuman are 64'11" in Length, 26' Beam, 8'5" in Depth, 4'11" Draft and Displacement 60 Long Tons. The work includes, but is not limited to, hull painting, hull anode replacement, shaft anodes, starboard lazarette, pilothouse windows, ball check system, removal of Ross system, galley refrigerator, main cabin floor tile, engine room wash, gages, engine exhaust, shafts and struts, davit winches and Boston Whaler davits. The work is scheduled to commence on or about 01 March 1999 with a completion date of 01 April 1999. The area of consideration includes all facilities located along the easter coastline.
