Design, Manufacture, Furnish, Install and Test Potable Water Treatment
facilities capable of meeting Washington State Department of Health
requirements for surface water (Lake Roosevelt) source. A Firm, Fixed
Price Contract shall be awarded based on best value to the Government.
Solicitation issue date is scheduled for 02/18/99. Proposal due date
is 04/15/99. Award of contract is scheduled prior to 09/01/99. Offerors
responding to this solicitation must provide information showing that
they meet the small business size standard of 500-employees or less.
The standard industrial classification code is 3589. Telephone requests

sources are encouraged to submit a proposal. A Diatomaceous Earth (DE)
filtration system that operates on demand is required. System shall be
semi-automatic. Disinfection shall be post filtration. The government
has only one source for the disinfection portion of this requirement.
In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 the disinfection system shall be model
SAL-80 manufactured by MIOX Corporation, 5500 Midway Park Place,
Albuquerque, NM 87109, Telephone No. (505) 343-0090. The contractor
shall design, furnish, and install detention tanks adequate to meet
code requirements. System shall have fully integrated monitoring, and
control capability. System shall provide suitable warning and alarm
out-puts to facility SCADA system. Site restrictions include: 1. Liquid
waste streams requiring treatment before disposal must be minimized,
dry' waste, suitable for disposal in landfills is acceptable. 2.
Facility demand is 5,000-gpd. 3. Inlet pressure ranges from 100 to
135-psi. 4. System discharge shall be of 350-gpm, at 280-psi. 5.
Facility will be enclosed within a portion of a 55-foot by 33-foot by
15-foot high area. 6. Equipment shall be skid-mounted with no
individual foot-print larger than 15-feet by 20-feet. 7. System shall
be simple and inexpensive to operate and maintain. Work includes
design, manufacture, delivery, installation completed no later than
10/01/00, and operational testing and reports complete no later than
