Souces Sought for Local Guard Services, SIC 7381. The Department of State is seeking information from firms who can provide the services described herein. Only firms that are small, 8(a) or who have certified as Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB) need respond, so that we may determine whether the requiremnet can be set aside. Large firms and firms without the requisite experience SHOULD NOT RESPOND. The focus of the required work is local guard services for the U.S. Consulate in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Respondents must have previous experience in providing guard services to the Federal Government as a prime contractor. Samples of similar guard services are available in the list under U.S. Dept. of State Business Opportunities at http://state.monmouth.army.mil/ . Firms responding must include the following information: business size (noi large businesses please); provide at least two references (agency, contact name and correct phone number) where you have been providing these services as the prime contractor; describe your ability to fulfill the personnel requirements both in terms of numbers and qualifications (use current contracts as examples) and current corporate/personnel clearances, if any. If your size meets the definition as described above and you provide services in Canada as a joint venture, please provide information on the resources, past performance on current and past contracts, personnel, and the ability to fulfill local guard services under a joint venture with the prime contractor. This market research information will be utilized to determine the Departmen's course of action.
