MOODY AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE Organization: AETC Contracting Squadron, Randolph AFB, TX Format of Procurement: Uniform Contract Format Procurement Phase: Synopsis CBD Category: Category J -- Maintenance, Repair and Rebuilding of Equipment Last Update: Tuesday, 12/30/98, 13:00, 1998 OVERVIEW PARAGRAPH: This acquisition is for non-personal services necessary to provide aircraft maintenance in support of the Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF) mission. The IFF mission is being transferred from Columbus AFB MS and Randolph AFB TX to Moody AFB GA. As a result, AETC will be a tenant on Moody AFB. Services include aircraft on-equipment maintenance, on-equipment engine maintenance (flight line level maintenance), and limited jet engine intermediate maintenance tasks required for all assigned T-38C aircraft. The contractor shall maintain service, ground handle, launch, recover, inspect, and repair all unit assigned aircraft, engines, and associated mission support equipment in order to meet flying training commitments that achieve and maintain aircrew/instructor qualifications and currency. In addition, the contractor shall also provide off-station aircraft recovery support for T-38A, AT-38B, and T-38C aircraft. Furthermore, the contractor shall provide aircraft corrosion prevention and custodial services and perform minor facility upkeep on government provided facilities the contractor and contractor employees occupy. The government will provide off-equipment maintenance support for the T-38C aircraft via both the 347th Fighter Wing and Contract Logistics Support (CLS). The government anticipates adding another weapon system and some repair shop workload at some point in the future. The mobilization period is projected not sooner than 15 Jan 00 14 Apr 00 and the basic period of performance for full operation and maintenance is scheduled not sooner than 15 Apr 00 -- 30 Sep 00. We reserve the right to include up to 9 1-year option periods with an additional 6 month option to extend services beyond the contract period. The contract will be Fixed Price Incentive Fee with Award Fee in the amount of 6% of total target cost. The government reserves the right to consider small or small disadvantaged business set aside based on responses to this notice.
