We are looking for a contractor capable of identifying cost reduction opportunities in the acquisition and utilization of medical and surgical supplies. Contractor to provide advice on how to reduce costs in clinical programs especially surgical service, through standardization and utilization. Proposed recommendations will complement and not conflict with existing DVA acquisition and standardization programs, and meet appropriate clinical practice guidelines as determined by a steering committee composed of an equal number of Minneapolis VA and contractor staff. Reductions must be equal to or greater than the contractor's fee. Contract period will be one year from date of award. A major evaluation factor will be demonstrating a proven track record in reducing medical and surgical supply costs. A Pre-Bid conference will be scheduled.
