SYMPOSIUM SOL 9-4075 DUE 010299 POC Sandra Souders, (301) 713-0854 R -- The U.S. Dept. of Commerce/NOAA/NMFS/Office of Intergovernmental and Recreational Fisheries (Fx2)intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Dallas Miner for continuation of services started in previous procurement to provide development of strategies and action plans for the conduct of a Marine Recreational Fisheries Symposium to be held in the year 2000. Specific tasks include: identifying and soliciting appropriate co-sponsoring organizations; providing direction to event planning teams; managing publicity and promotion activities; managing all vendors associated with the event; serve as a primary liaison with the event facility; at the direction of the COTR, represent the agency at meetings or other forums relevant to the planning of and preparation of the symposium; continued interaction and coordination with NGO's participating in agency Memorandum of Understanding/Agreements (MOU/As) under the auspices of Fx2; development and execution of specific joint programs for the public signing of approved MOU/As that are under the auspices of Fx2; and development of draft press releases for maximum media notification of public signing ceremonies.
