POC Teresa Kelly (360)476-5082 This requirement is for TWO each
portable dust collector assembly. The unit shall be suitable for
removing and collecting airborne dust, paint ships, corrosion products,
and fine abrasive particles in a moderately loaded exhaust stream from
an abrasive blast enclosure. The dust collector assembly shall consist
of a dust collector and hopper(s), a dust collector outlet to plower
inlet transition, a blower and motor, a flanged multi-blade discharge
volume damper, and an electrical control panel; all skid mounted with
a rigid structual frame. The size of the unit shall be kept as small as
practicable. The overall dimensions, including skid base and framework,
shall not exceed 10 feet wide x 20 feet long x 16 feet high. No portion
of the equipment or enclosure shall extend beyond these dimensions.
Total weight of the unit shall not exceed 14,000 pounds. The proposed
equipment will be operated in a heavy duty industrial environment
within a shipyard and shall be capable of continuous operation over an
extended period of time with minimal maintenance and upkeep. The
vacuum recovery unit shall be suitable for operation in an outdoor
industrial environment, at variable ambient temperatures ranging from
-10 to 110 F. The system shall be capable of operating in a salt and
dust laden outdoor industrial environment subject to driven rain,
sleet, and snow with temperatures and relative Humidity up to 100%
non-condensing. The equipment and all accessory parts shall operate
from a single source of primary power (460 VAC, three phase, 60 Hz).
Dust collector shall be of the cylindrical cartridge style rated at
2000 CFM (minimum) and the (PD) Blower shall be of the electrical
powered rotary positive displacement type and be rated for 1000 CFM at
21 inches HG and a free air capacity of 2000 CFM (minimum). For
complete specifications, obtain copy of solicitation. Delivery of all
units, FOB Destination, is required not later than 15 May 1999 to Puget
Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. This acquisition will be procured
as a commercial acquisition using the Simplified Acquisition
procedures. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible
